The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, and Golang. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable server-side components of our web applications.
Responsibilities
Lead the backend development team and oversee the design and implementation of microservices deployed on AWS ECS
Develop serverless components using AWS SAM
Build scalable and efficient REST APIs using Golang and NodeJS (we are migrating from NodeJS to Golang)
Drive test-driven development practices and ensure code quality.
Experiences with designing document databases (DynamoDB and MongoDB)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative team culture.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Strong experience with distributed systems.
Proficiency in REST API development.
Knowledge of test-driven development methodologies.
Familiarity with MongoDB and DynamoDB.
Experience with Golang is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Location
Hybrid (Ljubljana office + remote).
